Five Types of Apps That Are Better to Uninstall From Your Smartphone
Gone are the days when the operating system had to be constantly improved because not every manufacturer could produce a device in which software and hardware would work together.
Now almost any smartphone out of the box works, if not perfectly, then at least decently and does not need to be „pumped up“. Despite this, along with the necessary applications such as messengers, players, browsers, where you can find everything from oil prices to TonyBet Sportwetten forecasts, users install useless and even harmful applications, which allegedly turn a weak device into a real monster.
What Are These Programs That Need to Be Uninstalled?
1. Number identifier App
Questionable number identifier apps like GetContact and Truecaller. They are useful when you need to know the name of the person who called from an unknown number. However, they will also give your name and number to anyone who wants to know. And at the same time, they will dig in your address book and copy all the data to add it to their database. It is unlikely that your friends will be happy about it.
2. Battery-saving Apps
Usually, they look cool, showing the level of charge, and suggest pressing the magic button. But this will not give any effect – in the best case, the heaviest programs will be unloaded from memory, which will soon be loaded again, wasting even more system resources.
In addition, such applications often display ads – on the whole screen or some part of the window. This annoys the user and generates unnecessary Internet traffic. That’s not very thrifty. It is better to use the standard means of the operating system to work with the battery – turn on the economy mode in the settings, and refuse background data refresh.
3. Memory Cleaners
They do almost the same thing as the „battery savers“ – aggressively dump running applications from memory. For a while, there is more space in RAM, but this effect is quite short-lived.
4. Flashlights
They are built into any mobile operating system, so there is no point in downloading another one from the app store. Many of them require access to the address book, call list, SMS and other „sensitive“ sections, Forbes columnist Zak Doffman wrote back in 2019.
5. QR Code and Document Scanners
First, they are integrated into the camera app and Google Drive, and secondly, just recently malicious functionality was found in one of these apps.
